I was about to write a ticket about basicobject not validation values for enum columns. Is that problem a part of this issue?

This issue is more about using the types validation in mysqli_stmt::bind_param(). But validation of enum values and date formats is a good continuation.

It seems mysql simply truncates invalid enum values to an empty string, even if empty string is not one of the allowed enum values. The column does not allow null values either, so it is very bad that mysql does this.
I've solved it in my code for now, but it feels ugly to have the list of allowed values both in code and in the database.
