Thanks for tracking issue. I was wondering how close we are to using this in practice.

I couldn't find any feature request / PR on the TypeScript repo. Do you know if they plan to implement it soon, or plan to ask them? It seems it's already too late for 6.0 (microsoft/TypeScript#63085), so maybe it will be in 7.0.
