This will not be merged -- serves as a test branch for #3301

Testing Instructions

Don't make me tap the sign.

1. Make changes to a .js(x), .ts(x), or .mdx -- or some combination of (I've tested with the files in this PR, feel free to continue changing those or selecting other files.
2. Make a change to a package in the package.json (or a nested package.json file, or some combination of)
3. run yarn install
4. Stage your files, i.e. git add -A
5. (if the staged files don't lint, then run npx lint-staged and) look for the console.log files that commands are being run
6. Finish and do a celebratory dance
