Hey There 👋🏻

I'm Andrei (formerly Michael Trimm)

Platform Engineer · Infrastructure Architect · Application Engineer · Software Developer
21+ Year Professional · Go · Terraform · OCI|AWS · Release Management · CI/CD · DevOps
Entrepreneurship · Engineering Excellency · Own Without Ego · Women In Tech · Disability Awareness

Go, Ruby, Bash, PHP, HCL, Swift, C++, Linux, macOS, Windows, VMWare, AWS, OCI, Docker, Web Design, Backend Systems, CI/CD, Perforce, GitHub Actions, Unreal Engine, TeamCity, Database Admin, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Helix Core, MariaDB, Disaster Recovery, Release Management, IaC, AI MCP, AI RAG, gollm, summarize, iOS App Developer, Linux System Admin, Big Data Analyst, Site Reliability, Documentation, Communication, Process

I design and operate infrastructure that saves money at scale and ships software faster.

At Cisco Systems, I built a piece of software that changed a department's customer engagement throughout of 30 per calendar year to over 300 per calendar year by means of increasing engineering efficiency through the problems that VirtualDocs solved.

At Oracle I took the lead on upgrading a release pipeline that had a 1-in-5 failure rate to having a 99.9% success rate as one of the first team members to join OCI who stayed for over 3 years until the pandemic.

At Bit Fry Game Studios I reduced build pipeline costs from $17K/mo to $2K/mo — a $471K saving over 36 months that required an up front investment of $69K every three years.

At WB Games I architected a Perforce migration projected to cut OPEX from $7M to $1M annually and workspace syncs from 4+ hours to 30 minutes — shelved before deployment due to studio in-house preferences over in-cloud.

At SurgePays, I provided mission critical support in the off hours of the day globally speaking to enhance security, reduce operational expenses, automate devops processes, and harden disaster recovery preparedness.

At Beamable, I recovered their corrupted Terraform DevOps pipeline from total disaster by building reconcile-tfstate and tf-reconcile-reader in a single weekend outside of the capacities of my employment. I deployed their single-region infrastructure of the Beamable Network into multi-region support within a single month.

At S&W Publishing, I started when I was in High School and continued until the pandemic where I built a digital magazine platform that made editorials published in the past accessible internationally in digital form, built on a custom PHP/MySQL tech stack over the years.

I project myself professionally, love teaching others and especially building systems that solve complex problems. I took initiative to get Cisco to sponsor and send me to RailsGirlsRDU 2014 so I could help teach and provide technical support to ambitious women who wanted to learn programming by building a rails twitter clone. I have demonstrated a talent for teaching since childhood.

Cisco called me. Oracle called me. BitFry called me. WB Games called me. SurgePays called me. Beamable called me. Walter called me. Will you call me? Send me that message when you're ready to build.
